This is our idea for the Ident of our AS product. We are then going to do a stop start motion and you will see the grass, flower and petals all grow.

Resubmission of our AS opening sequence

We decided to resubmit our AS product. We watched our opening sequence and whilst watching it back we discussed as a group  that it looked very much like a music video. So we decided to change the order of the film, to make it less like a music video and more like a thriller opening sequence. Another reason we thought about changing the order was because we didnt want to give too much of the narrative away, but we realised that the way the clips and scenes are ordered it does. The third reason we decided to change it was that we didn't think the flashbacks were clear enough. Therefore, taking all of these elements into consideration we thought about swapping between the flashbacks and the hosptal scenes to make it clear that she was having the flashbacks whilst still lying on the hospital bed. Therefore, the crash would go at the end to start the film off.

Choice of name for the female protaganist:

We decided to call the female in the opening sequence, Lily this is because of the different connotations of the name.
Lily can symbolise purity, innocence and beauty but can also symbolise death.
We deiced to call her Lily due to the fact that it was a symbol of purity because she is innocent all the way through the opening scene and throughout the film. However, we decided to use the name because it symbolises death this is due to the fact that her boyfriend has died in the opening sequence.
